ALEXANDRIA, VA-It is beneficial to have a plan for the future. High school students can get a head start on their next chapter when they attend The Akexandria Chamber of Commerce’s CareerCon on Saturday, May 3 from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. This free event is presented by Virginia Tech and will take place at Innovation Campus (3625 Potomac Ave.). Parents are invited too.
A flyer from Chamber ALX describes CareerCon as a “fantastic opportunity to connect with professionals from a wide range of career paths. Whether you’re interested in entrepreneurship, finance, STEM, cybersecurity, healthcare, justice and government, hospitality and tourism, or skilled trades, there’s something for everyone.”
Learn how to apply for scholarships, apply for college and grad school, establish credit, and write a resume.
Speaking of scholarships, students also have the chance to win scholarship money just for attending. The winners will be selected at random and receive part of the $4,000 in funds.
