CCRES announced three recent scholarship recipients from the TCHS Pennock’s Bridge campus from its Dr. Michael J. Kelly Pathways Scholarships Program.
Estefani Nava-Renteria has been attending Technical College High School’s Pennock’s Bridge campus for three years in the cosmetology program and enjoyed her time there but knew she wanted more for her future career.
She was delighted to be chosen for the scholarship and will now begin attending Neuman University for their nursing program.
“I would not have had the opportunity to attend college had it not been for your generous contribution to towards my nursing degree”.
Kami Morefield attended TCHS Pennock’s Bridge in the health career pathways. The scholarship has allowed her to pay for her medical assistant certification and CBT exam so that she can begin a career in the health care field.
Geraldine Damian Vasquez also attended TCHS Pennock’s Bridge in the health career pathways. The scholarship has allowed her to pay for her medical assistant certification and CBT exam so that she can begin a career in the health care field.
The scholarship program was created in 2023, awarding grants to qualifying students, enabling them to attend post-secondary educational institutions, including career and technical schools.
While the awards can apply to traditional colleges and universities, they also can fund attendance at trade schools such as licensed practical nursing, cosmetology, construction and technology programs.
Awards can also pay for certification exams, special fees or tools and equipment associated with a student’s course work or academic program.
