LAWRENCE — Central Catholic High School is proud to announce that senior Navin Ramesh, of North Chelmsford, was recently named a 2024 National Merit Scholarship winner — a prestigious academic designation.
Navin is one of only 7,140 nationwide to receive this coveted scholarship, which he can use to attend one of the many esteemed institutions to which Navin has already been admitted including Harvard University, U.S. Military Academy -West Point, U.S. Air Force Academy, Brown University, Boston College, Dartmouth College, and Duke University to name just a few.
According to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, over 1.3 million juniors from over 20,000 high schools across the country entered the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program. These academically talented high school seniors competed for some 7,140 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $28 million (each student receives $2,500).
“The entire Central Catholic community is incredibly proud of Navin for receiving this prestigious scholarship,” said Principal Doreen Keller. “Navin has continuously impressed us with his strong academic, extracurricular and community service accomplishments throughout his CCHS experience. We know that he will continue to accomplish amazing things in the future.”
