OVERVIEW
The Centre for Food & Allergy Research (CFAR) is Australia’s leading research network for paediatric food allergy. We enable collaboration amongst paediatric food allergy researchers across Australia through the Food Allergy Stream of the National Allergy Centre of Excellence (NACE).
CFAR and NACE work together with the National Allergy Council (NAC), a partnership between the peak medical (Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy – ASCIA) and consumer (Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia – A&AA) organisations, to identify important questions for new research, and ensure that the latest research findings are translated into effective public health policies and the best care for children with food allergies.
AWARDS
The Centre for Food Allergy Research (CFAR) is offering two Postgraduate Scholarships in food allergy research to begin in semester 1 2024.
Their highly successful Postgraduate Research Program has supported 15 PhD Scholars since 2013. Now, thanks to a third consecutive round of National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) funding, we are thrilled to offer four more Scholarships – two to commence in 2024 (round 1) and two in 2025 (round 2).
Leading researchers in the field – CFAR Chief and Associate Investigators – will supervise each Scholar, while our national network of food allergy experts will provide invaluable mentorship and training opportunities.
