The Lake Chelan Men’s Golf Association is proud to announce the awarding of $14,000 in scholarships to outstanding graduates from Chelan and Manson High Schools. This year’s scholarship recipients exemplify the drive, commitment, and promise of our region’s youth, and we are honored to support them as they pursue their post-secondary dreams.
With this year’s awards, the Association has provided over $30,000 in scholarships over the past five years, continuing the practice of investing in the future of our valley’s students. The scholarships are open to all graduating seniors seeking education beyond high school—whether it be a trade school, college, or university. Congratulations to the following students who have been selected as the 2025 scholarship recipients.
Scholarship recipients were recognized at their respective Senior Awards ceremonies on June 2nd.
These scholarships are made possible thanks to the generosity of local sponsors and the incredible community support behind the annual Apple Cup Golf Tournament, the Association’s primary fundraising event.
This year’s Apple Cup Golf Tournament will be held July 19 & 20 at the Chelan Municipal Golf Course. This event features a fun and competitive two-person format with a Saturday –2 Man Team Best Ball and Sunday – 2 Man Team Scramble Scores. It promises to be an exciting weekend of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and support for a worthy cause.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Men’s Club Scholarship Selection Committee for their thoughtful work in choosing this year’s recipients. Their dedication ensures that deserving students continue to receive meaningful opportunities to advance their education. Thumbs Up goes out to the Scholarship Selection Committee of John Hancock, Doug Rowand, Bob Matson, Bill Fenton, Eric Lorenz, Tom Fagerholm, Gary Searle, Gill McKinnie, Tom King and Raymond Wilson for time, thoroughness and feedback. This is a legacy that far outdrives any trophy!
As we celebrate this year’s winners, we also look ahead with great anticipation to this year’s tournament and the continued growth of the scholarship program. Through the power of golf and the generosity of our community, we will keep supporting the hopes and ambitions of our local students—one swing at a time.
