JOSEPH – (Release from Chief Joseph Days Rodeo) Chief Joseph Days Rodeo is pleased to announce the 2025 recipients of its Ranch Rodeo Scholarship Program. Each year, this program supports students from across the region as they pursue higher education or skilled trade careers—reflecting the values of hard work, community, and dedication that define rural Eastern Oregon.
This year, four local students have been awarded scholarships thanks to funds raised through Ranch Rodeo Weekend and the continued generosity of supporters:
2025 Scholarship Recipients:
Kendal Wigen- Enterprise High School
Lucas Goodrich – Joseph Charter School
Agatha Doherty – Wallowa High School
GW Sweeney – Trade School Scholarship – Wallowa High School
Chief Joseph Days invites the community to help recognize these outstanding students during Ranch Rodeo Weekend, June 27–28, 2025. All proceeds from the weekend’s events directly benefit the scholarship program.
RANCH RODEO WEEKEND SCHEDULE
Friday, June 27
Trail Ride – 12:30 p.m.
Free and open to all riders. Meet at the Harley Tucker Memorial Arena for a scenic afternoon ride. We will bring refreshments!
Dinner & Auction – 6:00 p.m. at the Thunder Room
A community meal followed by an auction featuring one of the largest selections of items you’ll see all year—from Western goods to local adventures. All ages welcome.
Saturday, June 28
Ranch Rodeo – 2:00 p.m. at the Harley Tucker Memorial Arena
Watch local cowboys and cowgirls compete in traditional ranch-style events that highlight the everyday skills used on working ranches. All ages welcome; concessions available.
On-site camping and horse pens are available for those looking to spend the weekend.
