The Citrus Garden Club awarded two $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors in the class of 2025.
Sarah Sterile from Crystal River High School received one of our $1,000 scholarships to use in pursuing a career in biomedical sciences at the University of South Florida. Her goal is to do research in pathology.
Sterile’s outstanding academic record, achievements in school extracurricular activities, and community service involving the environment with emphasis on water conservation and wildlife preservation resulted in her selection by our scholarship committee.
Logan Lewis from Lecanto High School also received a $1,000 scholarship to pursue a degree in business administration at the College of Central Florida and the University of South Florida. As well as a commendable academic record with participation in school activities, Lewis has been an outstanding volunteer and counselor at the Florida Elks Youth Camp for three summers and has been involved with many environmental projects.
His enthusiasm and his goal of helping to build a greener world resulted in his selection by our scholarship committee.
