Tyler Clark, president and CEO of Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas, has resigned after more than seven years with the Bentonville-based nonprofit. His last day there was Friday (Jan. 31).
His replacement has not been determined, and a timeline to fill his role has not been set. Shannon Campbell, chief operating officer, said the board is working on those details.
“We have an executive leadership team, and we’re just all pulling together,” Campbell said. “The board is working out some details for us.”
Campbell also appreciated Clark’s contributions to the nonprofit and wished him the best.
In a social media post on Monday (Feb. 3), Clark said his time at the nonprofit “has been nothing short of extraordinary, filled with purpose, passion and the privilege of working alongside so many dedicated individuals committed to changing lives.” Clark led the organization since 2017. In July 2021, he oversaw the merger with the Single Parent Scholarship of Benton County. In 2009, the organization combined its work in three counties to become the organization it is today.
“When I first joined SPSFNWA, I could not have imagined the profound impact this organization, our recipients and our community would have on my heart,” Clark wrote. “I have been deeply moved by the resilience of the single parents we serve, the generosity of our supporters and the unwavering commitment of our team. Together, we have expanded opportunities, empowered families and strengthened the foundation of our community.
“I am incredibly grateful for the friendships, partnerships and memories created along the way,” he added. “Though I am stepping away from this role, my belief in the mission of SPSFNWA remains as strong as ever. I look forward to seeing the organization continue to grow, transform lives, and make an even greater impact in the years to come.”
The nonprofit celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2024. It has 12 staff, excluding the CEO position.
