Clothing sale raises funds for scholarships at RCC – kobi5.com

ROGUE VALLEY, Ore. – We first told you about Rogue Community College’s clothing sale earlier this month, an event aimed at raising money for student scholarships. Now, RCC says the fundraiser brought in $2,000, an impressive total considering most items were priced at around $1 each.
The sale was organized through RCC’s chapter of the American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC-RCC) and took place on October 14 at the RCC Riverside Campus in Medford, with a second sale that was held on October 16 at the Redwood Campus in Grants Pass.
While the original price point was set very low to encourage community participation and accessibility, the volume of donated items and community engagement helped push the total to the $2,000 mark.
“This event brings people together for a great cause,” said AAWCC-RCC President Rose Passione. “It’s rewarding to see our community support students while also promoting reuse and sustainability.”
The proceeds will go directly into the RCC Foundation’s scholarship fund, helping make education more accessible for students within the region.
