Cutter Morning Star High School’s graduating class received over $1.2 million in scholarship offers, CMS Career Coach Christi Nation said.
Thirty-two of the school’s 48 seniors were offered scholarships, providing an average of over $37,000 per student. Nation said the figure only counts scholarship offers, not Pell Grants or loans.
Among the seniors, 31 plan to go to college, seven to the workforce, six to trade school, three to apprenticeships and one to the military.
Their career plans include physical therapy (2), law (2), phlebotomy, Certified Nursing Assistant, cosmetology (2), teaching (3), marine biology (2), veterinary medicine, welding, automotive technology, plumbing (2), electrician, software engineering, X-ray technician, life insurance sales, financial management (2), U.S. Army, graphic design (2), mental health therapy, real estate sales (2), photography, acting, coaching, psychologist, accounting, computer entrepreneurship, and pharmacy store management.
