(KNSI) – A St. Cloud-based grocer, Coborn’s Inc., is once again teaming up with the Folds of Honor Foundation to collect cash for educational scholarships for the families of fallen and disabled U.S. service members as well as first responders.
The grocery chain’s third annual partnership lets customers donate during their regular shopping trips all month long. Shoppers can round up their purchase to the nearest dollar or make direct donations of $1, $5, or $10 at checkout at any Coborn’s or Cash Wise grocery and liquor store location. The fundraiser ends on September 30th.
Since its launch in 2023, customer donations have raised more than $178,000 for the foundation’s scholarship program.
The Folds of Honor Foundation was established in 2007 and, since its inception, has awarded more than 62,000 scholarships totaling approximately $290 million. Notably, 45% of all scholarships have gone to minority recipients.
