Baldwin Wallace University: Students from Medina County were among 80 transfer students welcomed to the Baldwin Wallace University campus this fall who claimed more than $1.1 million in merit scholarships based on their previous college accomplishments.
They included Brock Beech of Medina, a graduate of Medina Senior High School, majoring in business administration earned a Transfer President’s Scholarship; Brett Bohannon of Medina, a graduate of Buckeye Senior High School, majoring in sport management, earned a Transfer President’s Scholarships; Rylin Carter of Brunswick, a graduate of Brunswick High School, majoring in media production, earned a Transfer President’s Scholarship;
Nick Cary of Brunswick, a graduate of Holy Name High School, majoring in cybersecurity analyst, earned a Transfer Trustees’ Scholarship; Mia Knauss of Brunswick, a graduate of Brunswick High School, majoring in history, earned a Transfer Trustees’ Scholarship; Lukas Riedel of Brunswick, a graduate of Brunswick High School, majoring in theatre acting and directing, earned a Transfer Fellows’ Scholarship; Jeremy Turner of Brunswick, a psychology major, earned a Transfer President’s Scholarship.

Ohio Wesleyan University: Ohio Wesleyan University’s Department of Performing Arts will present five performances of William Shakespeare’s infamous and iconic “Macbeth,” beginning Oct. 30. Nic Laurence, a senior from Medina, will play the role of Macduff and is the assistant technical director.
“The Tragedy of Macbeth” is a tale about a Scottish General and his wife, who convinces him to use whatever means necessary to take the kingdom’s throne.
Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 30-Nov. 1 and at 2 p.m. Nov. 1-2 on the Main Stage of Ohio Wesleyan’s Chappelear Drama Center, 45 Rowland Ave., Delaware. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $5 for senior citizens, and free for Ohio Wesleyan students and employees at https://owuperformingarts.ludus.com.
Ohio Wesleyan faculty member and 2005 OWU graduate Bradford Sadler, MFA, will direct the university’s production of “Macbeth.”
Georgia Tech: Neo Sim of Medina has earned a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.
Sim was among approximately 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students who earned degrees during the Summer 2025 semester.
