Avon Dollars for Scholars
AVON, CT — The town has recently announced a scholarship program for Avon students that could take a big dent out of their college bills when it’s time to go.
Avon High School students and high school students who are residents of Avon can get scholarships for post-secondary education ranging from $500 to $5,000.
A scholarship is even available if they don’t plan to attend a four-year college.
Those planning to major in engineering may have an “exceptional opportunity” this year, according to Avon Dollars for Scholars.
To apply for scholarships, visit www.avon.dollarsforscholars.org. The deadline to submit a completed application is Friday, March 29.
