EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) – If you’re a high school senior in Colorado hoping to go into a public service field, the Colorado County Clerks Association is inviting you to apply for a scholarship!
The association’s annual scholarship is open to kids statewide who intend to further their education, whether that be in university, junior college, or a technical institution!
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
– 3.25 minimum GPA
– Participation in in extracurricular, community and service activities
– Demonstrated financial need or hardship
How to apply:
– Download the application: Visit the CCCA Scholarship page to access the application form at https://www.clerkandrecorder.org/scholarship
– Prepare your material: Gather your transcript, write your personal essay, and request letters of recommendation.
– Submit your application: Send your completed application and supporting documents to your county clerk of residence by email (preferred) or mail. The deadline for applying is Friday, March 28.
How many will win:
The Colorado County Clerks Association will select nine winners: three from Colorado’s central region and two apiece from the state’s eastern, southern, and western regions.
In the central region, the first and second place winners will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship. Third place will receive a $500 scholarship.
In the other three regions, first place will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship and second place will be awarded a $500 scholarship.
Winners will be notified May 1.
