Columbia County Farm Bureau is proud to announce Kaylyn Jeffery and Reese Mitchell as the recipients of its 2025 scholarship program. Each student will receive a $1,000 scholarship to support their continued education and career goals in agriculture and public service.
To be eligible for the scholarship award, students must be Farm Bureau members or the child or grandchild of a Columbia County Farm Bureau member.
Jeffery, a senior at Emerson High School, plans to attend Louisiana Tech University to study political science with a pre-law concentration. Her goal is to pursue a career in agricultural policy and law, helping write legislation that benefits producers and rural communities. She has held multiple leadership roles in FFA and Student Council, participated in Arkansas Girls State, and recently shadowed Arkansas Senator Steve Crowell.
Mitchell is a sophomore at the University of Arkansas, double majoring in Agricultural Business and Agricultural Communications with a pre-law concentration. She plans to attend law school and specialize in agricultural law. This summer, she will intern in Government Affairs with the American Farm Bureau Federation in Washington, D.C. On campus, she serves in several leadership roles and is the founder of Bumpers Beyond Borders.
Columbia County Farm Bureau is proud to support the next generation of leaders who are passionate about agriculture and advocacy.
