The International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) has announced that applications are open for the 2025 Community Risk Reduction Leadership (CRRL) Conference scholarship program.
The initiative, sponsored by IAFC’s Fire & Life Safety Section and InspectionReportsOnline.net (IROL), provides financial support for fire professionals seeking to advance their expertise in risk reduction strategies.
Ten scholarship recipients will receive complimentary registration, valued at $395, for the CRRL Conference, scheduled for May 13-15, 2025, in Phoenix-Glendale, Arizona.
Additionally, each recipient will receive a $500 stipend to assist with travel expenses.
Applications must be submitted by February 21, 2025, and award notifications will be issued by February 28, 2025.
The CRRL Conference is designed for chief officers and fire service managers looking to develop and implement measurable community risk reduction (CRR) programs.
The event will feature sessions on assessing and mitigating community risks, as well as strategies for executing effective CRR initiatives.
Attendees will have access to educational sessions and training tailored to fire professionals engaged in community risk reduction efforts.
The conference aims to provide actionable insights that can be applied to enhance safety programs at the local level.
The scholarship program is intended to make the conference accessible to fire service professionals who are committed to strengthening community safety through risk reduction.
