SPARTANBURG, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Converse University announced plans to offer two scholarships to students affected by the closing of Limestone University.
The college said the Saints Scholarship and the Knights Scholarship will provided students up to $22,000 per year. Eligible students will need to have transferred from Limestone University and St. Andrews Universities.
“From a simplified, streamlined application to personalized counseling for transfer credits, Converse is here to support students and their families as they consider their options for completing their college degree,” said Vice President for Enrollment Management, Jamie Grant-Ponce.
In addition, the university will also provide housing exemptions for Spartanburg and Cherokee County residents living with their parents or guardians and some students who have binding lease agreements.
The university will also work with students to help them remain on track to graduate.
The college is also helping former Limestone employees find jobs.
