Cool Spring Ruritan Club will hold a chicken barbecue fundraiser Saturday from 5 p.m. until sold out at the Ruritan building on Old Mocksville Road. The plates will consist of chicken, baked beans, slaw, roll and dessert. Drinks will be served for those who eat in. Takeout also is available.
The club is asking for donations for its college scholarship fund. The club plans to award $3,600 in scholarships in July. The closing date to apply for a scholarship is May 20.
