The Bulloch Retired Educators Association (BREA) received a significant boost to their scholarship fund for future educators, thanks to generous donations from CORE Credit Union and Bulloch Solutions.
Julie Morrison, Director of Marketing and Community Relations for CORE Credit Union, presented a check for $4,000 to the BREA at a recent meeting. In a surprise announcement, Morrison also revealed an additional $3,000 donation from Bulloch Solutions, bringing the total to $7,000.
Morrison shared highlights of CORE Credit Union’s successful 2024, including impressive financial growth, increased membership, and innovative new services. She emphasized the credit union’s commitment to community impact, highlighting various charitable donations and sponsorships throughout Bulloch and Chatham Counties.
“We are thrilled to contribute another $4,000 towards the retired educators scholarship fund, which supports aspiring students who want to become teachers,” Morrison stated. “And the exciting news is that Bulloch Solutions will also be joining our efforts in contributing an additional $3,000 towards these scholarships.”
The combined $7,000 donation will significantly aid BREA in providing scholarships to deserving students pursuing careers in education. The BREA expressed their deep gratitude for the generosity of both CORE Credit Union and Bulloch Solutions, emphasizing the positive impact these contributions will have on the future of education in the community.
“We deeply appreciate CORE Credit Union and Bulloch Solutions' support of our mission to support future educators,” said Pam Bland, President of BREA. “These funds will make a real difference in the lives of students pursuing their dreams of becoming teachers.”
The event was attended by members of the BREA, CORE Credit Union staff including CORE CEO Robert (Bob) Clampett, Board Chairman Dr. Joe Rhuland, Marketing Specialist Cammie Hannula, and DeWayne and Lori Grice of Grice Connect.
