Bridgette Watson, executive director of the Council Bluffs Schools Foundation, said the nonprofit is “incredibly proud to support these exceptional students as they enter the next chapter of their academic journeys.”
“These scholarships are a great example as to what our community can achieve when we come together to invest in the future,” Watson aid in the release.
Council Bluffs Superintendent Vickie Murillo expressed appreciation for the financial support of alumni, former educators and friends of the school community directed to help students.
“These scholarships make a big difference as students further their education and follow their career aspirations,” Murillo said in the release.
Erin Johnson, the foundation’s board president, added that the scholarships go beyond financial support.
“They are an investment in the future of our students and our community,” Johnson said in the release. “By easing the burden of college costs, we’re helping open doors to opportunity, achievement and lifelong success.”
