Coventry University Kazakhstan has received approval to offer 200 new scholarships, drawing more than 760 applicants for undergraduate programs in Business and Computer Science.
The scholarships are funded through a government-backed initiative and reflect growing interest in British higher education within the region.
The Astana-based campus is the first in Kazakhstan established by a UK university. Graduates receive the same qualifications as students studying at Coventry University in the United Kingdom.
The institution is part of the wider Coventry University Group, which delivers degree programs internationally through a network of partner campuses.
University officials confirmed that only a portion of applicants will receive one of the merit-based scholarships. Applicants who do not qualify will still be able to enroll on a tuition fee basis, subject to meeting standard entry criteria.

The campus currently offers undergraduate courses in Business, Computer Science, International Relations, and Economics and Finance, along with two MBA programs: Global Business and Executive. Plans are underway to add new degrees in areas including Art and Design and Construction Management.
The long-term goal is to scale to around 3,500 students. This expansion strategy is aligned with increasing domestic demand for internationally recognized qualifications and the country’s broader higher education development goals.
