This year the Croatian Scholarship Fund (CSF) from California in the USA has awarded a record number of scholarships.
Forty-two scholarships were awarded to Croatian high school graduates who will be attending various universities in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
These are some of the best and brightest young Croatian high school graduates who will be starting their university studies in the Fall.
They will receive $2,500.00 per year for the duration of time they are at the university. This generally includes three years of undergraduate and two years of graduate studies.
While in the CSF program, students are monitored and expected to maintain a high GPA and progress with their studies in a timely manner.
CSF was established in 1989 in Northern California, USA. It is recognized by the US government as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and is operated by an all-volunteer Board.
Funding for scholarships comes from established endowments, generous donations, and student sponsors. 100% of sponsor donations go directly for student scholarships.
Many of the sponsors are second- and third-generation Croatian Americans who wish to honor their heritage, especially their parents and grandparents.
Currently, there are about 170 students in the CSF program receiving scholarships.
During the past 36 years, CSF has helped hundreds of Croatian students achieve a college education.
Many of these students have shared that without CSF’s financial assistance, it would have been very difficult to complete their studies.
“We encourage Croatian high school students, who are living and attending high schools in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and graduating in June 2026 to apply for CSF Scholarship,” CSF said.
CSF and the sponsors wish all the students well and hope that after completing their studies they remain in Croatia, are successful in their professional life, and contribute to Croatian society.
