Dozens of Dallas ISD seniors have secured early admission to prestigious universities, with 16 students earning full-ride scholarships to top institutions nationwide.
The announcements come as the fall semester draws to a close. The early acceptances demonstrate the district’s academic competitiveness, with students gaining admission to the University of Chicago, the University of Notre Dame, and Boston College. Full scholarships will save families hundreds of thousands in tuition costs.
Gabriel M., a Skyline High School senior, secured admission to Boston College.
“I have always been interested in going to school in Boston, and Boston College is the school I fell in love with,” he said, per Dallas ISD News Hub.
Sergio R. from Hillcrest High School received a full-ride scholarship to Texas Christian University.
“I love TCU, and the second I heard about the school, I saw myself graduating there. I took a tour of the campus, and it just reaffirmed everything I had already thought,” he said.
The scholarship recipients represent schools across Dallas ISD.
Two students from Bryan Adams High School Leadership Academy and two from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts each earned full rides.
The University of Chicago and Davidson College each awarded full scholarships to multiple Dallas students. Other institutions offering full rides include Swarthmore College, Emory University, and Middlebury College.
The Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center produced three scholarship winners. Students from both traditional high schools and specialized programs earned recognition.
North Dallas, Thomas Jefferson, and W.H. Adamson high schools also celebrated scholarship recipients.
