About Dan D. Anderson
The Dan D. Anderson Memorial Scholarship honors the life and legacy of a man who dedicated himself to both his country and his community. Dan proudly served in the National Guard for nearly 40 years, including active duty in Vietnam, and continued his service at home through his deep involvement in the VFW and American Legion.
Known for his generosity, he regularly volunteered to help fellow veterans get to VA appointments, delivered clothing and food to those in need, and supported the early beginnings of the local food pantry. Beyond his military service, Dan worked full time in the National Guard maintenance shop and spent much of his life as a skilled plumber, often offering his talents at little or no cost to help neighbors. His legacy of service, kindness and community spirit lives on through this scholarship, which supports local high school students who embody his values.
