BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) –This segment on The Three was paid for and sponsored by Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers.
Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers is rewarding those who have proven they are driven to achieve extraordinary results.
Students are encouraged to apply for the firm’s Extraordinary Scholarship, which awards five Texas students with $1,000 to go toward their college tuition.
“The individual just needs to be seeking any type of higher education,” community coordinator Madeline Rutherford said. “That could be trade school, getting an associate degree, or at a university.”
Applicants can be from other parts of Texas, not just the Brazos Valley.
To qualify, you must be a May 2025 High School Graduate, live or attend school within 60 miles of the Bryan/College Station, Waco, Killeen, Austin, or Tyler areas and be enrolled, or enrolling in a continued education program for Fall 2025 at the time of disbursement.
Submit this form along with a letter of recommendation from a non-relative and a 1-2 page essay.
The essay prompt is “How have you demonstrated leadership in unexpected situations, and what was the effect on those around you?”.
“We wanted to create a scholarship that looked at applicants beyond their grades,” Rutherford added. “We wanted to look at their character because those are what defines a leader.”
The Deadline to submit is June 27.
