LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A congratulations to the dozens of area high school seniors who received scholarships today, thanks to the local chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
More than three dozen seniors – each representing a different high school or town – received the Good Citizen Award through the Francis Rainey Chapter and the Nancy Anderson Chapter today.
Other students were honored for their essays on the American Revolution and American history.
The ceremony was this afternoon at the Lubbock Women’s Club. KCBD’s Christy Hartin served as emcee. The DAR chapters also gave an incredible donation to the Texas South Plains Honor Flight.
