DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – Seniors from the Davenport Community School District were awarded $106,300 in scholarships on Monday.
According to a media release, the scholarships aim to support the students’ post-secondary education endeavors.
Cohen Callaway, a senior at Davenport North High School, was awarded the Kathryn Bell Tate Scholarship. He said the scholarship is $5,000 a year, for a total of $20,000.
“This was a really big scholarship for me, especially because I’m going out of state,” Callaway said.
A total of 58 scholarships were awarded to seniors by the Davenport Schools Foundation.
