ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) – The deadline is approaching to apply for the Georgia Promise Scholarship 2025-2026.
According to a Facebook post, the Georgia Promise Scholarship Program was signed into law through Senate Bill 233. The scholarship program is aimed at empowering families to pursue exceptional educational programs through nonpublic schooling, including private and home study.
“Should eligible famlies choose to leave public school (or forgo attending as a new kindergardener) to participate, the promise program will allow families to use funds for private school tuition and fees, required textbooks, tutoring services, curriculum, physician/therapist services, transportation services, and other approved expenses,” the post said.
