NOTTINGHAM, MD—Delegates Ryan Nawrocki and Kathy Szeliga have announced the opening of their annual Maryland House of Delegates scholarship application. The scholarship, available to Maryland residents, supports students pursuing postsecondary education at accredited two-year or four-year colleges, universities, or trade, technical, and career schools in Maryland.
This scholarship is available to both full-time and part-time undergraduate and graduate students. If you reside in eastern Baltimore County’s District 7A and are pursuing a degree, you may qualify for an award through the offices of Delegate Kathy Szeliga and Delegate Ryan Nawrocki.
Key Dates:
Eligibility Requirements:
Students must have a GPA of 3.2 or higher and live within District 7A.
Eligible Majors:
All in-state majors are eligible. Additionally, award recipients currently enrolled (or who were enrolled within the last two years) in a certificate or licensure program at a community college may use the scholarship to reimburse educational expenses.
Out-of-State Exceptions:
Students may use the scholarship at out-of-state institutions under certain conditions:
In addition, students pursuing unique majors unavailable at Maryland public universities may qualify for the Academic Common Market to receive in-state tuition rates.
Important Reminder for Current Recipients:
If you are a current House of Delegates scholarship recipient, please remember that you must reapply each year. The application window opens on January 1. (Maryland Senatorial scholarships automatically renew for a total of 8 semesters.)
