The Travis Bechtel Scholarship is presented annually to a Dock Mennonite Academy senior who demonstrates excellence in academics, athletics, and business
Baum, Smith & Clemens, LLP, a Harleysville-based accounting and business advisory firm, has announced Peyton Blum as the recipient of the 2025 Travis Bechtel Scholarship. 
A recent graduate of Dock Mennonite Academy, Blum is the son of Timothy and Susan Blum and plans to attend Baylor University this fall, where he will major in finance, entrepreneurship, and corporate innovation, according to a news release.
The Travis Bechtel Scholarship, named in memory of a former Baum, Smith & Clemens employee who passed away while working at the firm, is presented annually to a Dock Mennonite Academy senior who demonstrates excellence in academics, athletics, and business. Blum was selected for his strong leadership and involvement in various campus organizations, including the student senate, National Honor Society, and chapel committee, as well as his contributions to athletic teams, according to the release.
In addition to his accomplishments at school, Blum has actively participated in community service through his church and other volunteer opportunities. 
Baum, Smith & Clemens, which has served family-owned businesses and individuals in the region since 1973, continues to support emerging leaders through this scholarship program and congratulates Blum on his achievement.
