A domestic violence brunch hosted by La'Neika B. Enterprise will take place on Saturday, October 25, at 11 a.m. at First Class Bistro on Airport Road in Greenville. The event, led by domestic violence survivor and author La'Neika Benbow-Bruinton and her daughter, will feature food, music, guest speakers, and a silent auction.
The highlight of the brunch will be the announcement of the scholarship recipient. "Our scholarship is for survivors of domestic violence or children of domestic violence," said Benbow-Bruinton, CEO and founder of La'Neika B. Enterprise. "We've been able to actually raise $500 for them, and part of that criteria is them being able to go to either a four-year, two-year or a trade school to further their education."
A'Niyah Grant, director of marketing and community engagement, added, "And so I want to ensure that when people leave out of our event that they leave with a sense of helping their community."
Tickets for the Survivors Empowerment Scholarship Brunch are still available. General admission tickets are $45, with VIP tickets at $55. You can purchase your tickets by clicking here.
