GRANGE SCHOLARSHIPS Dow’s Prairie Grange #505 presented their annual $400 scholarships to three gifted students at their June 18 monthly meeting. Pictured are Emily Rodrigues, Mackenzie Frick, Amira Wanden and Judy Byers, chairman of the Grange Women’s Activities Committee. Graduates from McKinleyville High School, Emily plans to study Elementary Education at Cal Poly Humboldt and Mackenzie will attend College of the Redwoods with plans to become a radiology technician. Amira Wanden graduated from Arcata High School and will study mechanical engineering at San Jose State University. All three students had significant community service on their resumes and Amira was also an Ambassador Girl Scout and active member of the Rotary Interact Club. Each scholarship was for $400.
