For more than three decades, the Dr. Carreon Foundation has been empowering students in the Coachella Valley, helping them access higher education through scholarships and financial aid. Founded by Dr. Reynaldo Carreon before his passing at age 91, the foundation has grown into one of the largest independent scholarship providers in the region.
With over 2,000 students benefiting from nearly 35 years of support, the foundation currently awards 80 to 100 scholarships per year, ensuring that more students have the chance to continue their education beyond high school.
The Dr. Carreon Foundation is open to:
✅ Graduating seniors or current college students
✅ Students with a 3.0 GPA or higher
✅ Applicants who can articulate how the scholarship will help them achieve their goals
Each year, the foundation receives 400-500 applications, making the selection process highly competitive.
Students interested in applying can visit carreonfoundation.org to submit their applications. The deadline is at the end of March, so act fast!
