SPRINGFIELD — Scholarships were awarded to Springfield students who exemplify academic excellence at the 43rd annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Breakfast on Saturday at the Marriott Springfield Downtown.
With a theme of “A Legacy of Hope,” the event, presented by Wesley United Methodist Church, was dedicated to honoring the memory of Dr. King and his dream of equal opportunity through the transformative power of education and his vision of the beloved community.
