The Northwest Nazarene University Nursing department is honored to announce a generous gift of $100,000.00 from local philanthropists Duane and Lori Stueckle. This incredible donation has established the Duane and Lori Stueckle Endowed Nursing Scholarship, which will empower more aspiring nursing students to follow their passion for serving others and help address the ongoing nursing shortage in our local hospitals and medical facilities for many years to come.
Duane and Lori have been steadfast supporters of local colleges and universities, understanding the transformative power of higher education, especially for those who face financial barriers. In a recent conversation with Dr. Linda Valenzuela, Duane expressed his strong belief in the potential of every student who has the drive and dedication to pursue a career in nursing. He shared that this scholarship is their way of investing in the future of healthcare and supporting the next generation of nurses.
Northwest Nazarene University has a proud tradition of educating compassionate, skilled and well-rounded nurses who are in high demand by local hospitals and medical facilities.
Dr. Linda Valenzuela, Dean of the NNU College of Nursing, expressed her deep appreciation for the Stueckles’ gift, saying, “This generous scholarship not only alleviates financial burdens but also opens doors for talented students who are passionate about making a difference in their communities. We are truly grateful for Duane and Lori’s unwavering support for our nursing students.”
