The scholarship committee at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aeerie 2693 in Jefferson City presented six students with Rob Ferguson Memorial Scholarships this month.
Brooklynn Salmon received $1,000 given in memory of Denny Kunze. Alice Eggen received $1,000 given by the Auxiliary and Ritual Team. Jaxon Engelbrecht, Riley Connell, Isabelle Starke and Adrianna Clemons also received $1,000 awards.
Each recipient was presented a check, an award certificate and a box of candy.
A reception honoring the awardees followed the May 7 presentation by Eagles Auxiliary President Linda Schmutz and Aerie President Gary Peneston. Jeremy Pope, Tommy Stewart, Gail Jones, Debbie Schaefer, Sharon White, Melissa Pope and Charlotte Dudenhoeffer serve on the scholarship committee.
