Rochester, N.Y. — A scholarship benefit concert was held on Sunday to shine a light on upcoming local music students.
Eastman School of Music senior Holden Turner received the William Warfield Scholarship award.
The scholarship fund aims to provide financial support and encouragement to African American students to help them maintain success in the field of classical music.
The William Warfield Scholarship fund has provided aid to more than 60 singers and students.
