The first is the Michael Cripe Theatre Scholarship. At $1,000, the scholarship will be awarded to a student with plans to go into theater, dance or technical theater disciplines. It is named in honor of Cripe, an actor and performer from Elkhart who was well-loved at the Civic Theater before embarking on his theater career elsewhere that took him to Broadway and around the world.
