GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – A new annual scholarship from the Education Foundation of Alachua County will help support students looking to further their musical education.
Covenant Church of Gainesville has dedicated the Rose Morgan and Tina Pinkoson scholarship to its namesakes, two women who have done extensive service with the church’s music programs.
The scholarship will bestow $5,000 each to two seniors who meet specific criteria such as having involvement in church and school music programs and having a 2.5 minimum GPA.
According to the Education Foundation of Alachua County, the scholarship will give preference to low-income students.
Part of the application process requires students to complete a 500-word essay based on the prompt, “How has music impacted your life?”

The scholarship’s application deadline is Feb. 17, 2025.
