The Enrico Fermi Educational Fund of Yonkers Inc., now celebrating its 62nd year of providing college scholarships to high school seniors of traceable Italian heritage in Yonkers and Westchester County, recently announced the addition of two additional academic scholarships and the increase the total dollars available.
“In 2025, we are so pleased to be offering a total of nine scholarships, which will be awarded to five high school students residing in Yonkers and to three high school students residing in Westchester County. These are in addition to our Annual Science Scholarship. Further, total scholarships will now total $50,000,” said Rich Poccia, co-president of Enrico Fermi. “We are grateful to our supporters, contributors and sponsors who help make this possible.“ The academic scholarships are provided to students with traceable Italian heritage who demonstrate exceptional commitment to academics and their communities.
Dr. Susan Campanile, trustee and the chair of the Enrico Fermi Scholarship committee, said,”…The process is very competitive and having the flexibility of two additional scholarships for a total of nine will help us have a greater impact on outstanding young scholars who are of traceable Italian heritage“.
