The Edwards County Farm Bureau Foundation recently announced their 2025 Collegiate Scholarship winners. This year the Foundation awarded $4,500 in scholarships to Edwards County students pursuing degrees related to agriculture at the collegiate level or above. A $2,500 scholarship was awarded to Kassidi Metcalf of rural Albion, a $1,500 scholarship was awarded to Emma Wiseman of rural Albion, and a $500 scholarship was awarded to Kaylie Vallette.
Kassidi Metcalf is attending Murray State University majoring in Agronomy. She is the daughter of Daniel and Amanda Metcalf.
Emma Wiseman is attending Murray State University majoring in Agricultural Sciences Education. She is the daughter of Eric and Michelle Wiseman.
Kaylie Vallette is working on her Masters degree in Animal Sciences at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. She is the daughter of Kimberley VanMatre.
The Edwards County Farm Bureau Foundation Collegiate Scholarship is given annually each spring to at least one college student majoring in an agricultural related field. Over the past 29 years, the Foundation has awarded over $102,000 in scholarships to students from Edwards County, including this year’s $4,500.
