ASHEVILLE — Eight high school seniors from Western North Carolina have been awarded renewable four-year scholarships through the George H.V. Cecil Journey Scholarship program, WNC Communities announced Wednesday.
The scholarship program, funded by a $3.1 million donation from the estate of George H.V. Cecil, is available exclusively to high school seniors who live in or participate with a community involved in the WNC Honors Program.
