Bryceton Wilkins, an Eisenhower Middle-High School senior, has been selected as the October Pennsylvania C.L.A.S.S. Act Emerging Leader nominee for the Warren County School District.
If chosen, Wilkins will receive a $1,200 scholarship and a chance for an additional $5,500 at the end of the year.
According to school district officials, Wilkins exemplifies the qualities of a well-rounded scholar, athlete, and school leader. A senior at Eisenhower High School, Bryceton is known for his extraordinary effort, both academically and athletically. He is enrolled in AP Government, AP European History, Honors English, and Advanced Biology Honors.
His curiosity about the Renaissance and Enlightenment periods, along with a passion for ecology and biology, fuel his goal to major in environmental science.
“He is hardworking and persistent, consistently balancing rigorous academics with high-level extracurricular involvement,” district officials said.

Bryceton is captain of both the soccer and wrestling teams, is the placekicker on the Eisenhower football team, is a member of the Key Club Food Drive, the Betts Industry Kids’ Christmas Party and the Captain’s Council’s Trick-or-Treat event. Bryceton also helped plant trees at Conservation Park and is involved in the Student Council, National Honor Society, Key Club, HEAL Club, SADD, and the Eisenhower Captain’s Council.
“One of Bryceton’s most notable qualities is his ability to lead by example,” said Mike Taylor, Eisenhower soccer coach. “His calm demeanor and focused attitude make him an outstanding sports captain, club officer, and mentor to the younger students around him. He is a credit to his family and the school and would be a very worthy recipient of this award.”
Each of the school districts in Erie, Crawford and Warren counties will present one student nominee each month. The nominee is a student in 10th through 12th grades who is picked by faculty members. A credentialed committee will objectively select a student to be honored with a $1,200 Emerging Leader Award Scholarship monthly. The nine previously nominated and honored students throughout the school year will be considered for a second scholarship of $5,500 to be awarded at the end of the school year.
