Audrey Goatley, a 2025 graduate of El Dorado Springs High School, has received the Ellis and Jennie Barritt Educational Scholarship, administered by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.
Goatley, the daughter of Brian and Dee Goatley, will attend Southwest Baptist University to pursue a degree in elementary art education.
“I’m thrilled and grateful to receive this scholarship as I work toward becoming an art teacher,” Goatley said. “I can’t wait to help young students create lasting memories and masterpieces while stepping outside their comfort zones.”
The Ellis and Jennie Barritt Educational Scholarship was established by the late Ms. Barritt, a longtime educator at El Dorado Springs R-2, to support El Dorado Springs graduates with a preference for those studying education.
The CFO and its regional affiliate foundations — including the El Dorado Springs Community Foundation — hold more than 450 scholarship funds, established by generous donors to help students from across central and southern Missouri achieve their goals of higher education. The application period for the 2026–27 school year will open Jan. 1, 2026, and run through mid-March. For more information, visit cfozarks.org/scholarships.
The Community Foundation of the Ozarks is the region’s largest public charitable foundation serving donors, nonprofit partners, and 55 regional affiliate foundations with $549 million in assets under management as of June 30, 2025. The CFO’s mission is to improve the quality of life for everyone in central and southern Missouri through resource development, community grantmaking, collaboration and public leadership.
