SIOUX CENTER—Sioux Center Municipal Utilities’ energy partner Missouri River Energy Services is offering two scholarship opportunities for high school seniors: $1,000 renewable scholarships for two- or four-year undergraduate studies in electrical technician (field service technician, wind turbine maintenance, power plant maintenance, etc.), electrical engineer or other engineering disciplines, mathematics, science, energy management, accounting, communications or economics; and $2,000 one-year scholarships for electrical lineworker or powerline program at an eligible technical college. Applications are available from local high school guidance counselors or at www.mrenergy.com/services/scholarships. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. Friday, March 14.
