Indiana basketball has extended an offer to elite 2028 wing AJ Williams of Dutchtown (Ga.) and the Georgia Stars AAU program.
Williams is widely considered to be a top prospect in the 2028 class.
While playing for the Georgia Stars this summer, he led them to a 15U Peach Jam Championship. He averaged 20.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.5 steals a game last week during Peach Jam. He shot 46.1 percent from the floor and 34.1 percent (14-of-41) from three in eight games. He finished with four 20+ point games.
He had 28 points and six rebounds in the championship game against Team Takeover.
“What started off as a rough first game, ended with AJ Williams scoring 28 points and grabbing 6 rebounds in the Peach Jam E15 championship. The 6-foot-6 shooting guard showcased a clean game with efficient scoring chops,” Rivals National Recruiting Analyst Jamie Shaw wrote. “Williams plays most of his offensive possessions within three dribbles. He is balanced and shot ready, getting to spots on the floor ready to rise up. He has a very mature offensive approach for a 15U player. His Georgia Stars team was very big, but Williams was also not afraid to stick his nose in the mix and rebound. He moved the ball well and got into the passing lanes.
“Williams has a smooth game and as he continues to tighten up his handle and adds more burst to his game, he should unlock more to his arsenal. He earned MVP honors of the E15 division.”
