Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge 2540 entertained diners and dancers at its recent beef and beer event to benefit the veterans scholarship fund. In attendance were 85 members and their guests.
For coordinating the event, special thanks go to Elks veterans committee members Dan Celia, Phyllis Servon, Nancy Bush, Pete Marino, Thomas Dennis, Brian Moyer and Gene Shellenberger.
Proceeds will be used to fund a veteran scholarship for a Delaware Technical Community College student and another for a Cape Henlopen High School graduating senior to recognize outstanding achievement as a member of its JROTC program.
