The Ellwood City Wolves Club Den 11 hosted their annual Scholarship Awards dinner on Wednesday May 28, at 6PM, at the Connequenessing Country Club.
The club awards eight scholarships to eight students from the Ellwood City and Riverside School districts.
Invocation was offered by Reverend Todd Custer of Christ Presbyterian Church.
Club members, students and their families, enjoyed a buffet of carved roast beef, champagne chicken, penne in vodka sauce, mashed redskin potatoes and summer vegetable medley.
Ben Huth, Riverside Guidance Counselor, offered remarks on the Riverside awardees while John DiBuono, Wolves Club Scholarship Chairman, presented the Scholarships to the awardees.
Benediction was presented by Reverend Todd Custer.
The Wolves Club moto is Pro Bono Publico loosely translated “for the good of the public”. The Wolves Club celebrated their 77th year and have presented over $400,000 in scholarships. If you wish to join the Wolves Club contact President Mike DeOtto or come to their meetings which are held every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.
