BROOKFIELD — The Elmbrook Education Foundation (EEF) hosted its first annual EEF Scholarship Night on June 2 at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts, where 66 scholarships totaling over $100,000 were awarded to graduating Elmbrook seniors on behalf of generous donors.
More than 350 people, including students, family members, and scholarship donors, attended the celebratory event. “The EEF is so thankful for the businesses, community members, PTOs, honorariums and memorials who invest in the future of our students. Whether attending college, university or technical school, these scholarships make an incredible impact on our students’ education,” said Beth Dobrzynski, executive director of the Elmbrook Education Foundation. Earlier this year, a scholarship committee composed of community members and EEF board members reviewed more than 200 scholarship applications using a blind-read process to ensure fairness.
Selected recipients demonstrated academic dedication, a strong desire to serve others and/or perseverance in overcoming personal challenges.
Founded in 1958, the EEF originally focused on awarding scholarships to select Brookfield High School graduates. In 1999, its mission expanded to include teacher grants for innovative classroom projects that benefit all students across the Elmbrook School District.

To date, EEF has awarded over $1.7 million in scholarships and more than $845,000 in classroom grants that support creative initiatives beyond the district’s budget.
These efforts aim to elevate educational excellence across all schools in the district.
