Children of Emporia State University graduates can now receive a scholarship simply for attending the same university as their parent.
Emporia State University announced the launch of its Legacy Scholarship program on Tuesday. Legacy scholarships are designed for children of ESU alumni who are pursuing full-time undergraduate degrees.
According to a written release, legacy students will now receive a $1,000 scholarship, which is renewable for up to four years. The scholarship will begin this fall and can be for both incoming and returning students.
The scholarship will also be stackable, meaning it will be applied in addition to all other scholarships a student receives.
